We’re proud and happy to announce that we will be working with Austin-based artist Delaney Gibson on her upcoming music video for the track “When We Were Young” off her new album Tall Like the Tree! The song is beautiful and full of great fun imagery of love, nostalgia, and youth.
Delaney is an independent singer/songwriter with a unique style of confessional, theatrical pop music. Originally hailing from the ‘Storied Sea Town’ of Ventura-California, Delaney moved to New York City where she wrote over 72 songs in her tiny Bronx apartment. Along with the direction of Canadian Producer, Joshua Bartholomew and string arranger, Laura Mihalka, out came 11 cinematic, brave and intimate music tracks. She now calls Austin, Texas home. As a singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist, she set out to create a driven, confessional and uplifting sound. Delaney’s music falls somewhere in between the kaleidoscopic pop theatricality of artists the likes of Regina Spektor and the warmth of indie-folk performers a la Bright Eyes.
We are genuinely excited about bringing cinematic life to “When We Were Young”. Production is slated to start at the beginning of July this summer and we can’t wait for her fans and all audiences to see what we come up with! Her album release show in NYC is Saturday, May 17 and her Austin show is Thursday, May 22. Check out and support her music at http://delaneygibson.com by buying Tall Like the Tree now!
