Between our busy week of a music video shoot last Wednesday for Autume’s “Heart Like a Drum” that went pretty late, and a much-needed vacation to Mexico City the next morning, we unfortunately had to miss our intern Tim Fitzgerald’s Wednesday night Nerd Nite at The North Door in Austin. Presented the second Wednesday of every month, Nerd Nite has Ambassadors do fascinating talks on a range of subjects. It killed us to have to miss this much-anticipated presentation by Tim, but we’ve been incredibly lucky that Nerd Nite recorded the whole thing and has already presented it online for viewing.

As an audio engineer and sound designer from the UK, it’s only appropriate that Tim’s talk, “Sounds Good To Me!”, covered and outlined three principles of audio manipulation used throughout the field as well as touching on his background from Birmingham. Tim only has a few weeks left with Escape Plan Productions (and in the United States) and it’s been an incredible experience having him involved with our projects over the past half year. Please take some time to check out this ridiculously fascinating talk on audio and maybe just give it a share.

  • This is what I love about living in Austin, the diversity of people that make our business as unique as they are. Nerd nite talk, very cool way to present who you are and what you do. Please keep me posted about your projects and what you guys have going. Maybe we’ll get to help you with some of your productions by providing you with some aerial shots.
